State of Maine Guides was started in 1984 in Bangor, Maine by Anthony Anderson. Since the beginning, we have been the state leader in creating new publications and visitor guides for key resort destinations in Maine. To date, we have created and published the original official ski weeklies for Sugarloaf/USA and Sunday River Ski Resort; a snowmobiler’s guide to Aroostook County; and local weekly visitor guides for Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, the Belgrade Lakes Region, The Portland Old Port, and the Sebago Lake region.

Our graphic design team produces consistently good-looking and well-organized publications. Our long-term experience with Maine tourism gives us insider knowledge of the seasonal ups & downs.
